Created in 2005, the Bronx Museum Teen Council offers opportunities for young people to engage deeply with contemporary art and the museum space. In this intensive paid after-school program, teens express and discuss ideas and create art relating to issues affecting young people today.

Musezine 25: Coexistence

This year we chose the title “Coexistence” for our annual zine. Throughout the program, Teen Council has been considering how politics and media attention affect the LGBTQ community and communities of color. We also came to realize that these concerns were intersectional and often times impact more people than we know. We are excited to share Teen Council’s amazing art with you in issue #25 of our Musezine.

Teen Council is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation.
