Teen Council: Alienation and Acceptance
June 1 - July 4, 2016

This exhibition of artworks by New York area teens focuses on issues related to alienation and acceptance, and has been organized by The Bronx Museum Teen Council. The featured works were submitted in response to the following open call:

Everyone has something that sets them apart. Sometimes individuals are alienated for being different, which can feel like a barrier between themselves and others. The reality is that all our differences make the world an interesting place and accepting them can bring us together. Everyone has a story to tell about experiencing alienation and acceptance: what’s yours?

Teen Council is made possible with support from New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, New York Yankees Foundation, The Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation, The Pinkerton Foundation and Anonymous.
